Can’t wait for spring to arrive. For the gentle breeze of spring and the blossoming flowers. One of the best places to enjoy spring in Korea is Jeonju. I elaborated on this topic here . I was gathering information about this beautiful hanok (traditional Korean house) guesthouse I stayed in earlier, but to my disappointment, this lovely guesthouse is no longer available for rent.
Sieondang 시은당 [pronounced see-eun-dang ] is definitely one of the best hanok guesthouses in Jeonju. It is a traditional hanok with a sophisticated modern style. The wooden paper doors, key-shaped door locks, exquisite embroidery on thick Korean bedding, and the sight of warm sunlight spilling over the aged wooden floors all call out to tradition.
I really like the rustic and minimalist interior. Unfortunately, the inn is no longer available and the owners now own a cafe in a remote area near the Orchard in Jeonju. If you are in Jeonju and want to escape the crazy crowds, you can visit the cafe called “The Orchard”.
